What children will find

A brick-breaking game with a story, played by touch, mouse or keyboard.

A journey through space and Earth
Thirteen stages, from Mercury to a cheeky comet, then on to the savannah, the rainforest, the Arctic and a coral reef.
Pictures that come to life
Every stage is a picture made of bricks. Clear it and a real photo appears underneath, with a short fact read aloud by Nova.
Learning, gently
Facts are checked against NASA, the Natural History Museum, WWF, NOAA and National Geographic Kids. Quiz questions are optional.
Three levels of challenge
Easy for ages 5 to 7, with picture answers for children who are not reading yet; Normal for 7 to 9; Hard for 9 to 11.
For grown-ups

Safe to hand over

Privacy

No ads, no accounts, no cookies and no tracking. The game sends nothing anywhere: progress is saved only on the device it is played on.

Children choose a fun space name and are asked not to use their real name. Nova's voice comes from the device itself, and the game never says the name aloud.

Safari on iPhone and iPad can clear saved progress if the game has not been played for about a week.

Supporting #TeamAleks

Star Smash is free, and nothing in the game asks children for money.

If you would like to support #TeamAleks, which raises money in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, you can donate on our JustGiving page.

Good to know

The game downloads as it is played, about 20 MB for the whole journey, so Wi-Fi is best. It runs in the web browser, so there is nothing to install.

Credits
